How does STEMVOX Academy work?

STEMVOX Academy is classified as an alternative school and is licensed by the Ministry of Education. Students come to STEMVOX Academy once a week. They are excused from their regular school to attend STEMVOX Academy as an alternative program.

Students will begin and end their day at the same times as their regular school. They provide their lunch. We do not provide bussing. We are, however, located at Sydenham Campus Skills and Innovation Centre which is easily accessible. 

What type of student would benefit from STEMVOX Academy?

STEMVOX Academy would benefit any Student. However, we cater primarily to students who are interested in hands-on learning in a collaborative environment with high expectations.

We also offer Gifted students an opportunity for differentiated learning in a context that encourages out-of-the-box thinking and risk-taking. Gifted students thrive in this type of environment.

How does STEMVOX Academy adapt its teaching methods to cater to individual student needs?

We believe in the importance of personalized learning. Our educators use adaptive teaching strategies and technology to monitor student progress and tailor instruction to meet individual learning styles and needs. What is the enrollment process for new students at STEMVOX Academy?

Enrolling at STEMVOX Academy begins with a visit to our website to sign up for an Open House. Following this, we invite parents for a personal interview where we can discuss the potential student’s needs and develop a personal learning profile. This process helps us understand each student’s learning style and interests, ensuring a good fit with our educational approach. Enrollment is finalized with all of the required paperwork and payment plan.
